Providing over 15 million meals to Florida’s hungry children

A Mission to Feed
Lift Children out of Poverty

Our Mission

Our mission is to help kids break out of poverty and become independent, successful adults. Through grants, fundraising efforts, and school partnerships, we deliver highly nutritious weekend backpack meals to thousands of chronically hungry elementary school children and offer scholarships and mentoring to promising high school students. Helping to break the cycle of poverty, Feeding Dreams’ programs lead to better health and educational performance, laying the foundation for a healthier, self-sufficient future for our children.

Feeding Dreams Mission Feed Hungry Children in FL

How would you feel if you went 68 hours without food?

Children’s hunger in Florida is at epidemic levels — one in five children go hungry. Since our founding in 2014, we’ve provided more than 15 million meals to at-risk children.

Feeding Dreams brings awareness and nutritious meals to these “empty-refrigerator kids” who go hungry over the weekends. What happens when hungry children return to school having not eaten for 68 long hours? They lose the opportunity to learn on Monday, 20% of their school week. We set out to solve the problem of what we call “Lost Mondays” by feeding children through our Power Pack Program.
