Lifting Kids Out of Poverty Through Nutrition, Mentoring, and Scholarships

We provide 2.7 million nutritious meals every year to kids across Florida. We mentor kids to get them through grade school and into college or vocational school. We provide scholarships to help pay for higher education.

Ed Mullen

Ed & Sue Mullen
Founders

Ed and Sue Mullen founded Feeding Dreams based on a simple but powerful conviction: no kid should ever be too hungry to learn, grow, or reach their full potential. After witnessing firsthand how food insecurity undermines kids’ health, focus, and academic success, Ed and Sue decided to take action. What began as a modest local initiative in 2014 has evolved into a comprehensive program that reaches thousands of children each week.

At the heart of their vision is a clear belief: when you feed and support a kid, you don’t just fill their stomach — you change the entire trajectory of their life. Under their leadership, Feeding Dreams is not only fighting hunger, but also breaking the cycle of poverty and empowering kids to grow into confident, independent, and successful adults.

Before launching Feeding Dreams, Ed built a distinguished career as a successful entrepreneur and investor. He currently serves as the Founding Partner at Beacon Equity Partners and has long been deeply committed to philanthropy. He previously served as Chairman of the Baker Children’s Center in Boston, an affiliate of Harvard Medical School.

“That food got me through the weekend where I felt the absence of my parents while they were at work. It really helped.”
– Juliana Noreus, former Power Pack student
“Thank you for the continued donations. As a school, we are so grateful to be able to provide these extra supports to our students. When we first introduced Power Packs to the students, they showcased wide eyes and excitement. Due to the fluid nature of the program, we were able to frequently add new students to the list as they arrived at our school. It has been our pleasure to be a Power Pack Program distribution location this year. Thank you for your ongoing support and management!”
